RCIA
Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults
(for individuals 18 years of age and older)

The Catechumenate
For adults who have not been baptized in the Christian faith and who seek admission into the Catholic Faith. The Catechumenate is typically a year-long process, culminating in receiving the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil.
Reception into the Faith
For adults who have been baptized in another Christian denomination or as Catholics without any formal Christian formation. Reception into the faith requires a profession of faith and the reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. The reception into the faith may take place at any time during the year but is normally received during the Easter season.
Adult Confirmation
For adults who have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist and who seek to complete the Sacraments of Initiation with the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Sacrament of Confirmation for adults is normally received on the Feast of Pentecost.
