The Holy Spirit Men’s Club promotes faith, fellowship, and service for its members and the entire parish community. By focusing on spiritual, social and service activities, the Men’s Club helps its members grow closer to Christ and assists the church with parish-wide events. Throughout the past 10+ years, the Men’s Club has donated more than $20,000 of its Paver Project and Social events funds raised – back to the parish. The Men’s Club also provides financial support to our Youth Ministries and assists with some of their large fund-raising events.
Some of their annual activities include: Mardi Gras celebrations, Chili Cook-Offs, Stations of the Cross, Parish Picnics, Harvest Fairs, and Barbecues, as well as Tides Baseball and Admirals Hockey games with the Pastor, clean-up of the parish grounds and rectory, and assisting with parking during holidays and parish-wide events. Gatherings are held at 7 PM the first Thursday of every month and open to men ages 18-years-old and older. If you are interested in learning more about the Men’s Club, please contact George Bieber at (757) 714-0602 or Tony Quaranta (410) 960-2592. You can also learn more about the Men’s Club on Facebook.
The Safety & Security Team and the Night Managers are essential ministries which help ensure the safety of our parish community and church building.
Our Night Managers cover shifts in the evenings on a rotating schedule, Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, while activities are taking place in the parish. It is the Night Manager's responsibility to monitor the people entering and exiting the building throughout that time and to secure the entire church building at the end of the evening when the parish activities have concluded. Safety & Security Team
Our Safety and Security Team, which consists of medical, fire safety, and security personnel, provides protection for our parish family inside and outside the church building throughout every weekend liturgy. Members of this ministry are assigned to their requested Mass time and serve before, during, and immediately following the liturgy. Contact: Richie Martinez (757) 681-3688
This ministry would like to promote within our church community a culture where every human being is valued and protected at the beginning and at the end of their life. We seek to create awareness of the life affirming positions of the Roman Catholic Church regarding these most vulnerable moments in life. Ministry activities will respectfully promote education over protest, empathy over indifference, and unity over division.
