We Need Volunteer Catechists for the 2026–2027 Faith Formation Year
Catechists are needed for the upcoming school year! We had a great turnout for Registration Round Up — and now we need more teachers! There is a need for catechists in almost every grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade. No teaching experience is necessary — a love of the Faith and devotion to our younger Catholics is enough to make a big difference in their spiritual growth.
Faith Formation · Grades K–5 Sundays · 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Middle School EDGE · Grades 6–8 Sunday Evenings · 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
High School Life Teen · Grades 9–12 Sunday Evenings · 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
If you are interested in becoming a catechist, here is how to get a Volunteer Form:
· Pick one up at the Welcome Desk after any Mass
· Email Jenny Scharf or Azelia Ramos and they will send one to you directly

Important: The Diocese of Richmond requires ALL volunteers to complete a yearly background check and VIRTUS Safe Environment Training every five years before serving in any ministry.
