Here is the latest update on the project: In early July, the architects and structural engineers visited the existing prayer garden, the future site of our new Columbarium. They inspected the site and gathered the necessary information to commence work on the construction drawings. In addition, a survey team is currently developing a site survey. Upon completion, both the construction drawings and site survey will be submitted to the City of Virginia Beach for review and approval. Concurrent with city review, the Diocese of Richmond review and approval will also occur. Per the current timeline, once all approvals are received, construction will take approximately 7 weeks, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027.
