Altar Guild Ministry Dedicated to the preparation of the sanctuary and worship space for our liturgies. Involves dusting the altar and pews and cleaning the windows and doors to help our church shine for our joyous community gathering of worship. Each cleaning team shares about an hour and a half of time once a month. YOUTH · LITURGICAL Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Members of this important liturgical ministry assists the clergy on an “as needed” basis with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. The term “extraordinary” distinguishes such a person from the Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, namely priests and deacons. Workshops are provided for confirmed Catholics in good standing. YOUTH · LITURGICAL Art & Environment Ministry Cares for altar linens, priest vestments, and seasonal decorations — washing, ironing, folding, and rotating as the liturgical seasons change throughout the year. ALL AGES · CARE Music Ministry Cantors and instrumentalists assist at weekend Masses. Our choir sings during the 10 AM Sunday Mass from September through June. All musical talents are welcome. YOUTH · LITURGICAL Ushers Ushers greet, welcome, and provide assistance to parishioners and guests at Mass. They are often the first face visitors see — a ministry of hospitality and welcome. ADULTS · HOSPITALITY Candlestick Care Involves cleaning and caring for the altar candles and candle holders for Mass. Can be accomplished at the convenience of each member as scheduling allows — very flexible. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE Lectors Practicing Catholics in good standing are trained to proclaim God's Word during Mass. Lectors help the entire assembly hear and receive the Scriptures with clarity and reverence. YOUTH · LITURGICAL Mass Coordinators Carefully prepare all liturgical supplies and vessels needed for Mass and ensure the liturgy flows smoothly. An essential behind-the-scenes ministry. ADULTS · LITURGICAL Flower & Plant Care Cares for all parish plants and flowers, including those used for seasonal liturgies. Helps create a beautiful, welcoming worship environment throughout the year. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE Audio & Livestream Ministry Technical expertise with sound and video systems is required. This ministry helps make our 10 AM Sunday Mass available to homebound and remote parishioners worldwide. ADULTS · HOSPITALITY Sunshine Club The Sunshine Club is open to all those age 50 and above who want to share in fellowship. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 12 noon, September – June. After the meeting, there is a potluck luncheon, a guest speaker or entertainment, and a 50/50 drawing. Special luncheons are scheduled for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and there are options for special trips throughout the year. SENIORS · FELLOWSHIP Children's Liturgy of the Word Children ages 3–7 participate during the 10 AM Mass. Volunteer catechists share Sunday Scripture at an age-appropriate level with music, stories, and hands-on activities. Volunteers rotate once a month. CHILDREN · MONTHLY Faith Sharing Community A Friday morning Bible study and faith sharing group for adults. Meets Fridays 9:30–11:00 AM. A warm, welcoming community for deeper conversation about Scripture and life. ADULTS · WEEKLY FRI Young Vincentians This junior version of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (ages 11-17), allows its members to grow in holiness as they further their own spirituality and prayer life, create new friendships, and serve those in need. JUNIOR · FELLOWSHIP· SERVICE Christian Ecumenical Network This group provides information for the parish on ecumenical activities, statements, events, and concerns, and to organize participation in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and other annual ecumenical events. ECUMENICAL · INFORMATION Sisters in Faith Women ages 18 and over meet on the last Monday of the month for spiritual growth and fellowship. SISTERS · FELLOWSHIP Night Managers This ministry serves an important role in keeping the church building and parishioners safe and secure. An assigned person each weeknight assumes responsibility for opening and closing the parish, receiving and greeting visitors and parishioners, and is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities and all who are using it during evening hours. This is scheduled on a rotating basis from Sunday-Thursday from 630pm-9pm. SISTERS · FELLOWSHIP Men's Club Handles parish dinners, picnics, and various repair and maintenance projects around the parish. A brotherhood of faith and service open to all men of the parish. MEN · SERVICE Adult Bible Study Weekly Tuesday evening study open to all adults. No experience necessary — just a desire to go deeper in God's Word. Meets weekly at 7:00 PM. ADULTS · WEEKLY TUE Cursillo The name Cursillo is Spanish for “short course” and is associated with a three day weekend of spiritual reflection and growth. Small communities are utilized as a method of faith formation, holiness, and spiritual support. ADULT · RETREAT Safe Environment Team This group of trained men and women provides assistance for our parish in the areas of medical, fire, and safety emergencies. SISTERS · FELLOWSHIP HEALING · PRAYER · CARE Pastoral Ministries Bring God's healing and comfort to those most in need in our community. Widows and Widowers Ministry This group is composed of members of our parish community who have suffered the devastating loss of their beloved spouse. We offer hope and healing through prayer, group discussions, guest speakers, fellowship, and support. Our meetings are held at 10 AM on the first Monday of each month. PASTORAL · HEALING Pastoral Care Ministry This is an outreach to parishioners who are ill, hospitalized, grieving the loss of a loved one, lonely, aging, homebound, or in nursing homes. Pastoral care is a sharing of one’s time, self, and faith with those who are suffering some kind of brokenness. Men and women who are interested in pastoral care ministry participate in formation sessions to prepare them for this very important work of the church. They learn how to minister spiritually to those in need and share the Eucharist with Catholics in good standing who are unable to participate in our Sunday Mass celebrations. PASTORAL · SUPPORT Vocations Ministry This prayerful ministry helps parishioners discern God’s will in their lives, regardless of the vocation, calling all people to holiness. We pray for an increase in vocations, including more seminarians, religious men and women in formation, and holier marriages. PASTORAL · SUPPORT Funeral Reception Committee This beautiful ministry provides food and hosts receptions after funeral liturgies, giving families the opportunity to gather together and share time with loved ones and friends. Explore OCIA(Formerly RCIA), We welcome unbaptized adults, baptized Christians. Exploring the faith. Discover or rediscover Catholic teachings, prayer, and community, and prepare to receive the sacraments of initiation. Adult Formation Order of Christians Initiation for Adults(OCIA) Are you thinking about living a faith life in the Catholic community? Do you know someone who has been thinking about the Catholic faith? OCIA is a journey of faith for anyone who wants to learn more about the Catholic faith. It is for non-Catholics and baptized Christians who want to discern if God is calling them to the Catholic Church. It is also for baptized Catholics who would like to prepare for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. For More Information Email Deacon Bob OCIA Is the process through which adults are able to join the Catholic Church. It is the path into the Catholic Church for non-baptized adults, as well as adults who are baptized in non-Catholic Christian traditions. Additionally, adults who were baptized Catholic but who did not complete the sacraments of Confirmation and/or Eucharist may attend OCIA as a means to celebrate those sacraments. What is OCIA? Seeking Mass Coordinators We are currently looking for additional Mass Coordinators for daily Mass: (specifically on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 AM) weekend Masses To ensure that all aspects of the liturgy run smoothly. Responsibilities of this ministry include: Setting up all of the sacred vessels to properly prepare for the Mass. coordinating with the liturgical ministers. Assisting the clergy as needed.
